INTRODUCTION OF DAWLESS MUSIC MAKING
Today, everyone who owns a laptop is capable of producing beats or songs - which is incredible and awesome. But: The most of (electronic) songs are produced in a program called Ableton Live, following the standards of streaming devices, which totally matches the interests of listeners until it comes to live performances. A stage was once a place for musicians to express their skills and their understanding of music, where improvisations, solos and special moments improved the show. Dawless means to dive into a live sound while being able to shape it in all directions.

DIIVISION was a standalone project initiated in the Covid-19-pandemic. The goal was a setup that's completely independent of the use of a computer, where songs evolve in jams and not by recording overdubs over overdubs. DIIVISION build himself an electronic orchestra, controlling Synths, Pads, Drums and Guitar simultaneously, creating musical journeys from scratch.

The main component of DIIVISION are two Novation Circuits, a standalone Groovebox with 2 Synthesizers, onboard effects and drum channels. Using the MIDI communication, all hardware can communicate in the way the artists wants to, controlling or filtering external synths, drums or effects, creating a complex network that's kind of randomly influencing everything.
